Our Repertoire
The repertoire consists of a wide range of choral styles including
classical, spirituals, hymn arrangements, southern gospel, traditional, and some
contemporary choral music. The classical selections are primarily ‘light’ in nature,
and include familiar music by Mozart, Handel, Bach, etc., rather than more ambitious
works such as masses, requiems, and the like. The
traditional selections include music arranged by composers such as Mark Hayes,
Joseph Martin, John Rutter, Robert Sterling, Benjamin Harlan, and Cindy Berry.
Many of these songs include hymn arrangements and are selected for their message
as well as their choral style. The
nursing home concerts are designed to include songs that are familiar to the residents—and
occasionally enable them to sing along. Partial
