[EastValleyChoraleMaillist] Prayer request

I'm generally uncomfortable asking for prayer for myself, but this is too
big for me to handle on my own and I covet your prayer support through this.
I have been inactive since New Year's so I could tend to some family issues,
and this ordeal has recently taken a turn for the worse.  My two older sons
were involved in something with our friends' children three summers ago.  My
husband and I immediately got our boys into counseling, severed the nearly
decade long friendship we had with this family, and began trying to put the
pieces back together.  My older son started back in counseling a few months
ago and the counselor informed us Tuesday night that they had reached the
point where she was legally obligated to submit a report to Child Protective
Services.  This has not been done yet but when it is, though we are hoping
the underfunded and overloaded CPS department will choose to ignore the
report, we are expecting a phone call at the very least, and God willing, a
visit at the most.  Our counselor has told us that since our family has been
doing everything right since day one, we should be fine.  Still, we are
shopping for a family law attorney and praying nothing comes of this.  I
would love nothing more than to finally close this traumatic chapter in my
life, but it seems that is not going to happen any time soon.
