Hello Chorale Friends,

 

Thanks for another good rehearsal Tuesday night. And thanks for being
friendly to our guests.it really makes a difference. Please pray that we can
continue to minister to each other.  There's a song by Pepper Choplin that
I've been listening to lately that says:

Pray for the person on your left,

Pray for the person on your right,

They may seem strong, but we don't know 
all of the struggles and the burdens they hold.

Lord we pray:

Give them power to face the day

 

Announcements:

1) "Hope", a summer music group from Cal Baptist University will be in
concert

2) Friendship Village Building and Parking, 6-9-09:

 Enter south from Southern through the Guard Gate, left into 1st driveway,
Building "B", not painted only a grey block wall. (Just north of previous
building where we have sung before). Enter through the door on the south
side of the building. Ramp available. There are also several Handicap
parking zones. Additional parking is available to the east of the guard gate
inside Friendship Village.  

 

 

Couple of prayer requests:

1)  On behalf of Catherine B.:  Pray that a doctor's appointment goes well
this coming Monday.

 

2) It is looking much more likely that we may have to find another home for
the chorale.  There are some tentative plans at Crossroads that may prevent
us from having a Christmas concert at Crossroads in December, and may also
prevent us from rehearsing at Crossroads.  I've already informed you that we
need to find other storage for the risers, and earlier this week I was told
that it may also mean moving our music off campus too.  (I have had one
volunteer to store the risers in her garage.however it is in sun lakes, so
I'm still thinking about what to do.)  

 

I've attached a map that shows where our members are located (not everyone
is on the map, but it gives us an idea as to the spread). The 'center of
gravity' is probably around Elliot and loop 101. probably near Bethany
Community Church.   I would like to ask you for suggestions and ideas about
where we might be able to rehearse.  Please be on the lookout for potential
locations. 

Minimum Requirements: a piano, seating for 70, year-round access, air
conditioning, centrally located

Would be nice: choir room with multi-level seating (choir loft).that seats
70,  good acoustics, room to rehearse with orchestra

Heavenly: a place to store our music.and a church that would like us to do
Christmas Concerts :-)

 

I'm praying that God will provide a situation that's even better that what
we have now.  Pray that the Lord will help us all be creative in our
thinking.  If you could do some preliminary investigation and let me know of
your ideas I would really appreciate it.
