[EastValleyChoraleMaillist] Prayer Requests from chorale singers/family

>From Patti K. (one of our sopranos) regarding her husband Lee, who's had
some health issues with his heart during the past week.



I just wanted to give you an update on Lee.  He had his surgery at 7:30 this
morning..  It was about a 2 hr surgery.  He came through ok, however I did
not have a chance to talk with the doctor yet.  He was supposed to come and
see me after surgery but he didn't.  When I asked about him they said he was
in another surgery. 

 

Lee is now in ICU.  He can only talk in a whisper because they had a trach
tube in his throat during the operation and his throat is very sore.  They
also can't seem to get his blood pressure down and his heart rate is almost
normal what it usually is, and he is very dehydrated.  But, they don't seem
to be too worried about that, and are working on it.  

 

Yesterday the nurses had a little scare because at the site where they had
inserted the tube for his angioplasty two days before there was a large,
hard knot in the blood vessel.  They worked and worked on it and finally had
to call in the doctor on Sunday morning.  He got it under control, but Lee
had to lie flat on his back again for another 6 hrs, just as he had had to
do after the angiogram for 8 hrs.  

 

There is a chance he can come home tomorrow, but I'm betting it will be more
like Wednesday.  

 

Continue to keep him in your prayers.

developed over the past few months.

"Because of an illness I contracted when I was bit by tick a number of years
ago, I've been experiencing a number of symptoms for the past 2 years.
The illness caused initial symptoms for about 1 month, but then they stopped
& I was symptom free up until 2 years ago.
Because of the ongoing symptoms, I plan to take a recess from singing at
concerts but will still be at rehearsals."
