Here's an update on Al Baderman (from his wife, Dorothy):

Al's surgery was on Thursday at Barrow in Phoenix. Today, which is only
one day past surgery, he seemed to be doing okay. He was awfully tired
tho as they didn't get him into ICU until around 5 on Thursday. That was
a terribly long day for him. He talked to us today. Has a hard time
getting some of his words as he can't think of what he wants to say. He
has a terribly big scar. He does have a malignant tumor and they
couldn't get it all, which they told us before surgery. If they tried
too hard he could lose his speech altogether or he could also become
paralyzed on his right side. None of that has happened. They did put
something in his brain which is releasing chemo to which it should go and
it will dissolve in 6 weeks. He doesn't seem to have too much pain - at
least when we were with him he didn't.

We will know way more after we see the doctor probably Tuesday morning
after they get the pathology report. Thanks for your prayers. We have
heard from so many people from so many different places who are praying
for him. The Lost Dutchman people have been wonderful. All of our
neighbors are even praying for him. I guess there is no cure for this
type of cancer, but we know that God can work miracles. Al has lived a
wonderful, long life and we are just trusting God for His will in this.

Love, Dorothy

Also an update from Rhonda Brent (one of our altos) regarding her Husband
Jim's loss of both parents in the last 3 weeks.

Hello again, Family and Friends,

I just wanted to let you all know that Jim's dad, Christian Brent, passed
away this morning (Saturday). He slipped away quietly and now is at rest in
Jesus' arms. Thank you Lord. Needless to say we have had a very emotional
three weeks, from the time of his mother's passing and now his dad. Please
continue to pray for strength and comfort. The family viewing before
cremation will be Monday and a memorial service honoring his dad will be
held later this month. Thank you all.

Rhonda

Please keep the Badermans and the Brents in your prayers during these
difficult situations.

Thanks,

Bruce
