Hello Chorale Members,

Don't forget that we sing at the Ponderosa Baptist Church in Payson next
Sunday, September 28. The concert time is 3:00, and I'd like to have us
there by 2:30.

Based on discussions with Bill Knauss (former Chorale member who lives in
Payson and attends Ponderosa), we should be able to get to the church (from
Crossroads) in about 95 minutes.might want to allow 1.5 hours in case
traffic is a little slow.

Should be a good concert. As of the moment, we have 50+ going to sing. I'm
hoping everyone can follow through. I think there are still openings on our
'Ride-Share Poster'. Here is the concert repertoire:

1. How can I Keep From singing

2. All the Way My Savior Leads Me(f)

3. Lift Up Your Heads

4. Amazing Grace(f)

5. Higher Ground

6. Even in the Valley

7. Old Time Religion Medley - (f)

8. Mercy Refused

9. Yes, I Know (f)

10. His Life for Mine - solo

11. There is Coming a Great Day (Ann P)

12. Whatever it Takes(f)

13. Fly Away Medley (f)-

14. Written in Red

6 Ways to Get Rid of a Choir Director

1. Come to rehearsals on time. There will be so much time to work, your
director will drop from fatigue.

2. Look up from your music now and then. Your director will become
embarrassed from all the attention and leave.

3. Open your mouth when you sing. The draft will cause pneumonia, making
your director too weak to direct the choir.

4. Use your voice fully. After a few really loud measures, your director
will become deaf and will have to be dismissed.

5. Follow his directing. Your director will be so surprised at your sudden
ability to sing on the beat and sing softly or loudly according to the
directing that he/she will leave, thinking that he's in the wrong church.

6. Pray for your director. Keep this up for a while and you will soon have
such a great director that some larger choir will take him off your hands.

See you Tuesday,

Bruce
