Hello Chorale (and 'associate singers'),

I want to thank you all for your participation in the recent Christmas
concerts at Crossroads and at Mesa Regal. Both concerts were very well
received. I heard many positive comments after last night's concert. I
appreciate your enthusiasm and support of the chorale. Thank you for sharing
your talent and time with us all. Thanks also to our 'associate singers'
who were able to sing with us this year.you made a difference.

A few details of the Mesa Regal Concert:

Attendance (excluding the singers and orchestra): 720 (last year we had
about 600 at the Mesa Regal Concert) Thank you for inviting guests to come.
It really made a difference. It was exciting to see the men at Mesa Regal
scramble to set up more chairs as we approached concert time.

Offering: $1174 + $170 (CD/DVDs)= total of $1344 Combining the offerings
from two concerts and the CD/DVD sales , we covered the entire cost of the
orchestra ($2380), and still had some to pay for the orchestra music.

Participants: Singers: 69 / Orchestra: 18

Sound: Kathy and I had several friends who attended.and had to sit near the
back. They indicated that they could hear the choir and understand the
words quite clearly. I know the room is somewhat "acoustically challenged",
but the total effect is better than what you hear. Thanks for your smiles
and enthusiasm.and your 'singing by faith'.

I also want to sincerely thank you for your generous gifts at the Christmas
party this past Tuesday. We had nearly 80 folks attend the party and it was
a meaningful time of sharing and reviewing the Crossroads concert as well
and think about all that the Lord has done this entire year. I appreciated
the many comments regarding our Christmas music, and the chorale in general.
Someone mentioned that the Chorale really serves as a "Church" for many of
the group. Thank you for sharing your lives with me.and with others in the
chorale.

In case you were not able to attend, I wanted you all to know that you gave
me a beautiful Citizen wristwatch, a Magellan GPS system for our car, a box
of dark chocolates (I was informed that was for Kathy), and a Visa gift card
for $165. I plan to use the money to help cover the costs of attending
Music Quest (a 2-day choir director seminar held by Dr. Gary Bonner at Cal
Baptist University in Riverside, CA Jan 15-16). I really do appreciate
your extreme generosity and thoughtfulness.

Things to Remember:

1) No rehearsals on Dec 23 and Dec 30.

2) Our next rehearsal will be Jan 6th at 7:00 (in the usual location).

3) Next concert will be Sunday, Jan 11th at 6:00 PM (you'll need to get
the music on Jan 6th. I'll keep you posted as to the repertoire.)

4) Joint Rehearsal with Mesa Regal Choir (at Crossroads) on Tues, Jan
13th. 7:00 PM

I'm hoping you all have a Merry Christmas, and a wonderful New Year.

Remember: "Until further notice, Celebrate Everything!"

Bruce
