Hello Chorale,

 

I just wanted to let you know that you sounded quite nice at the rehearsal
Tuesday night.  The orchestra members were very complimentary of your sound
on Love Came Gently, and on What a Wonderful child.  You really sound
powerful on the little a cappella section of In the Fullness of time
("Hosanna, God Save Us!").  It's pretty impressive sounding.

 

I know that it is often difficult to hear yourself.and the entire group, but
you have to 'sing by faith.'  Keep doing the right things, obeying the
dynamics, looking up, etc.  Pastor Bryan was running the sound system for
us, and he told me toward the end of the rehearsal that he could understand
every word you sang.  He seemed somewhat surprised (but pleased) that your
diction was so good.please keep that up.  

 

I appreciate your flexibility and creativity with regards to the risers.big
risers, low risers, small risers, small steps, sitting in front of the
speakers, etc. You looked a bit like I pictured the multitude on the
hillsides listening to Jesus preach.  

 

We'll have the piano over toward the center on Sunday night, and maybe we
can have a little less power into the monitors.

 

We are going to try to move the larger risers from the sides over toward the
two risers in the center.  Based on my latest estimation, we may have 76
singers on Sunday night.  Currently, several are still fighting colds and
upper respiratory ailments, etc  Lisa K had come to 4-5 rehearsals earlier
this fall, but has developed a cough. Please be praying for her recovery.
She adds a lot to the group when her voice is working.

 

Thanks again for your participation and support.  Let's be praying for the
effectiveness of the Christmas concerts.  Keep praying that the Lord will
bring the 'right' folks to the concert, and that they will be open to the
real message of Christmas.a message of hope.

PS: If you need a black folder, please let me know (by this Saturday)  so I
know how many to bring.   

 

PPS:  Keep inviting folks to come. If you invite many, some are likely to
come. :-)
